Project Overview
Civil Environmental Services (CES) delivered basement excavation and civil works at 209 & 209a River Avenue, Carramar, covering both duplex and granny flat structures. The project included full site establishment, bulk and detailed excavation, footings and pier drilling, and environmental and traffic management. CES oversaw controlled material disposal under VENM/ENM classification and ensured compliance with all regulatory and QA requirements. The works concluded with site demobilisation and the provision of complete QA documentation. This project demonstrates CES’s ability to deliver complex residential excavation and civil works with safety, precision, and compliance at the forefront.
Scope of Work
Site Establishment
- Full site set-up including signage, boundary fencing, and traffic management plan.
- Safety and environmental inductions.
- Plant and equipment mobilisation.
- Establishment of controlled stockpile areas.
Granny Flats – Footings & Piers
- Levelling and preparation of areas under granny flats.
- Excavation of footings as per plans.
- Drilling piers to a maximum depth of 1.5m.
- Carting and disposal of VENM/ENM material (provisional waste classification if required).
Duplex – Bulk & Detailed Earthworks
- Environmental control checks and dust management.
- Bulk excavation in clay and weathered shale to design levels.
- Off-site haulage and disposal of VENM material with full tracking documentation.
- Over-excavation behind Dincel walls (600mm).
- Detailed excavation for pad footings, retaining walls, and stormwater pump-out pit.
- Drilling piers to a maximum depth of 1.5m.
- Traffic management for truck haulage routes.
- Removal of machinery, site compound, and tools.
- Final clean-up of all site areas.
- Submission of full QA documentation.
